Big Brother CCP Edition; the players vote each week on who stays and who jumps into one of the Icelandic vulcanos.
This great game show would be streamed live as the CCP employees try to convince the players they are worthy of staying.

That devblog was rather underwhelming... You know how it feels like for normal people to go around shopping for $1000 jeans? It makes us feel poor.
Why would even I, someone who's worth some 200 billion ISK in-game, need to feel like that IN-GAME when considering a monocle?

Quafe ZERO was to test the player-base reaction to a large influx of from-thin-air side-effect free boosters...
Basically they were checking how the players would react when they would introduce these booster for AUR, cause if no one complain when everyone got 6 per account then they wouldn't complain when everyone could by them for $1 a pop.

That was most likely added for the feature CCP ran past CSM last year, where they wanted to allow returning players to buy SP they lost while being unsubscribed...
LOL, EVERYTHING CCP has been doing the last year that made no ****ing sense at all unless they were complete ******s... Now makes sense; they've already gone full ****** and somehow managed to hide it until now.

Honestly I don't see CCP in PANIC MODE. They are only buying time. One week is a long time and as you can already see the uproar starts to decline. By next week only a handfull of ppl will still be posting on forums about this sht. They are doing damage and crowd control now. I still believe they expected us to behave like this and they expected to lose this many accounts. I don't find it a problem for a company to lose 1.5 % of it's customers (accounts) when the overall profit will be at least twice as much. If anything, they are not stupid. They are following the BASIC steps of crowd control trying to minimize the loss, as company would do. After all, it`s better to lose only 1.2% of your total subscribers instead of 2%.
Bottom line, I see no PANIC MODE at CCP. If they were in panic, they would've came with a TOTALLY clear, indubitable statement and they would've dropped the NEX Store.
They are in PANIC MODE, about the leaks. Not about the NEX.
I also said they are "trying a different spin on it". Which is true.
You might be right on the panic mode about the leaks (actually I think you are spot on). It shows that at least some of the employees are very unhappy with the new direction CCP is heading, risking their jobs with those leaks. That makes you think MAJOR changes are happening inside CCP that will alter the way the company worked until now. What could that be? :)))
